Orders: We are pleased to accept orders by any of the following methods: online transaction (secure server), e-mail (unsecure), telephone, post, fax or in person at our Gloucester Showroom. For payment, we accept MasterCard or Visa. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid payment. If the issuer of your card refuses to authorize payment to us, we will not be liable for any delay and/or non-delivery of your order.
Delivery: Items ordered will be delivered as soon as possible. Every effort is made to ensure delivery is within a maximum of 30 days. As all goods are subject to availability, in the event we are unable to supply your order within thirty days, we will inform you as soon as possible and advise you of the expected delivery date. If any goods delivered by us are damaged in transit, deficient of items shown on the delivery note, or fail to match the items ordered by you, then please notify us within 7 working days of receipt. If we receive no such notification we will deem you have accepted the items as satisfactory. We take the utmost care when arranging delivery of your goods but cannot be held liable for any consequential loss caused by late delivery, or failure to deliver, by our appointed carrier. Liability in such cases is limited to the value of those items, which are shown to have not been received by the customer.
Shipping: For regular orders under 20kg, Random Adventure Gear offers the option of shipping with Australia Post regular parcel service or Australia Post Express Post service. Our freight calculator determines the price of your freight using the total combined weight and dimensions of your shopping cart, which is cheaper and fairer than simply adding together the costs of sending all your items separately.
For equipment that falls outside Australia Post size limits (either longer than 105cm or 20kg) you will not get a freight at Checkout. Please continue with your purchase and we will contact you within 24 hours with a quote.
For Kayak and Paddle purchases, you will be presented with a freight option at Checkout. We ship these items throughout Australia with Mainfreight. We will contact you when you purchase these items to inform you of the shipping details, including an estimated delivery time.
Returns and Exchanges: We hope that you are entirely satisfied with every purchase made from Random Adventure Gear as we strive to offer excellent quality, value and service at all times.
However, if you wish to return an item or exchange it simply contact us by email or telephone within 7 days of receipt of your goods. All return or exchange goods must be in a new and unused condition and be returned with a copy of your original receipt. For returns, an Administration Fee of 5% of the purchase price will be charged. Specially ordered items are non-refundable unless faulty.
If an item is faulty, and you need to return it, please contact us immediately with details of the fault (including photographs) and then send it back to us together with the original packaging and your receipt. If an item is faulty, Random Adventure Gear will endeavour to replace the item free of charge as soon as possible, but we reserve the right to repair, replace or refund the item according to our responsibilities under the Trade Practices Act 1974. In the case of perceived damage sustained during transit, you must contact us within 7 days of receipt of the goods.
If we have sent you the wrong item in error, let us know and then return the incorrect item. We will send you the correct item as soon as possible with free freight.
Random Adventure Gear only covers immediate return postage for goods sent in error or for faulty goods that are not used. In all other Returns & Exchanges, you accept the postage or freight cost of returning the item to us, with reimbursement subject to assessment of the item and circumstances of return. We recommend that all items returned to us be sent via tracked post. All returns must be authorized in advance by calling us on 02 6558 2093.
Products: Products are sold singularly unless otherwise stated. Every effort is made to ensure the colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the actual product. Due to technical limitations, some colours may vary.
Product Care and Warranties Advice: Random Adventure Gear does not offer additional warranty above that of the manufacturer. For full warranty information for your product make sure you visit the manufacturers website.
Random Adventure Gear will gladly act on a customer’s behalf in regards to product repair and warranty requests but prevention is always better than cure and so here are a few tips for taking care of your new purchase.
Firstly, most companies provide warranty against faults in manufacture and materials but do not cover against excessive wear and tear, misuse, and over use. Please do not modify your equipment. This will invalidate most warranties.
Store your equipment in a dry, dark, and cool place, away from any bright light, strong fumes, dampness or heat. An ideal storage temperature is 10-20 degrees C. Make sure any equipment is fully dried inside and out before storing away.
Paddling equipment can require extra care and consideration. Top Tips to remember when buying and using your new Spraydeck are listed here:
• Remember the easiest spraydeck to put on might not stay on best or keep the most water out. Which factor is most important to you?
• A neoprene spraydeck will stretch with use, becoming easier to put on your cockpit. To accelerate this, leave your deck on your boat overnight.
• A spraydeck will become easier to put on when wet.
• The use of Kevlar, latex, and other protective materials will reduce the amount of stretch in a deck making a good fit even more vital.
• Unlike neoprene ones, the fabric of nylon spraydecks will not stretch. It is therefore very important, especially with larger cockpits to get a good fit from a nylon deck.
On all outdoor adventure gear, high areas of wear and tear such as the arm pits, shoulder, seams and zips may need running repairs.
Please take particular care of any products with Latex/Neoprene Seals. Due to the fragile nature of the materials used, latex seals, neoprene seals and fabric socks are not covered by manufacturer’s warranty. To keep the seals in good shape, make sure you do not pull your garment on or off against them. Stretch each seal open when fitting and removing. If you drag the seals on and off they will fail and the taping may pop off. Be warned!!! Latex seals are designed to be cut to fit. If they are too tight, cut them down carefully and evenly with small sharp scissors, taking care not to leave any nicks. Cut off a small amount at a time, remembering that the seals will stretch a little with use. Seals can be replaced for a reasonable fee.
If you are buying a new Pyranha Kayak the manufacturer offers a limited warranty for one year from the date of retail purchase. The warranty is not transferable and an Online Warranty Registration From must be completed within 10 days of purchase to make the warranty effective. Pyranha does not warrant the kayak unbreakable.
